Alisa Young

Alisa Young, age 57, of Louisville, KY formerly of Springfield, passed away at 6:35 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Hosparus Care Center in Louisville.

She was born in Lebanon, KY on August 19, 1965 to Charles and Sarah  Ricketts Young.

She was a member of the Mackville Baptist Church, a 1983 graduate of Washington County High School and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was an employee of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Charles Edward and Katherine Preston Ricketts and her paternal grandparents, Freddie and Lena Hardin Young.

Survivors include her husband, David Wilder; a step-daughter, Leslie Smith of Bardstown; her parents, Charles and Sarah Young of Springfield; her brother, Douglas Young and his wife, Sherry of Springfield two nephews, Wesley Young of Lexington and Stewart Young of Springfield and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Goss, pastor of the Thompsonville Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
