Aline Ireland Cheser, age 79, of Goatley Lane, Springfield, KY went home to be with Jesus at 4:08 a.m., Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was born on February 5, 1945 to the late Winford and Pearlie Mae Grigsby Ireland.
She was a faithful Christian, a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church and a perfect example of God’s amazing grace. She was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband Herbert while raising her family on their farm. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Aline was an amazing mother figure to so many others, too numerous to mention.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Herbert Eugene Cheser on July 31, 2009, a daughter, Dianna Lynn Cheser on October 4, 2014, a sister, Rachel Lee Triano and a brother, Maurice Edward Ireland.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Jean Lewis of Springfield, Sharon Marie Irizarry (Richard) of Willisburg and Betty Carol Cheser of Springfield; three grandchildren, Alina Victoria Yocum (Charles), Allan Eugene Irizarry and Jake McKay Cheser; five great grandchildren, Alina McKinsey Smith, Gabriel Alexander Smith (Adisyn), Presley De’Lonna Yocum, Michael Tyrone Yocum and Patience La’Nae Yocum; a great great grandchild, Tristyn Jade Arnett and a sister, Lois Jean Johnson (James) of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10th at the Willisburg Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Gary Mills.
Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gabe Smith, Allan Irizarry, Jake Cheser, Charles Yocum, Robert Johnson, Joseph Cheser, William Cheser and Ronnie Johnson.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Tuesday morning at the Willisburg Baptist Church.
