Alice Ann Johnson

Alice Ann Johnson, age 67, of Springfield, KY passed away at 8:30 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

She was born on December 23, 1957 in Washington County, KY to the late Sammie Johnson and Virginia Ann Smalley.

She was a graduate of Washington County High School, a retired employee of the American Greetings Company and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death was a sister, Mattie Smalley.

Survivors include her son, Dyron Johnson and his wife Porscha of Springfield; a granddaughter, Alexis Compton and a great grandson, Chosen Brady Lewis; four sisters, Anita Spalding of Springfield, Anna Mundy of Nashville, TN, Margaret Edelen of Danville and Sandra Burton of Frankfort; six brothers, Donta Smalley and his wife Serena of Springfield, Charles Smalley of Fort Wayne, IN, Samuel C. Johnson of Perryville, Keith Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Cecil Johnson of Stanford and Charlie Burton of Lancaster and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Pier Giorgio Dengler, O.P., officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Charles Smalley, Joseph McWhorter, Sam Johnson and Billy Logan.

Casket bearers will be Donta Smalley, Travis Smalley, William Smalley, Deon Spalding, Derrick Newby, Mitchell Hughes, Maurice Edelen and Anthony Thompson.

Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m., Saturday at the church.
