Albert Keith Stevens, age 84, of Springfield, KY passed away at 4:56 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Laconia, Indiana, he was born on October 22, 1939 to the late Lawrence Clifford and Mellie Elizabeth Lohmeyer Stevens.
He was a member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church, a graduate of Laconia High School and a member of the Springfield Masonic Lodge and Gravel Switch Masonic Lodge. He was a barber for over 50 years and a former employee of Pinkston Oil Company.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Ella Frances Brady Stevens on October 9, 1998; three sisters, Bonnie Dennison, Maxine LaDuke and Yvonne Pease and two brothers, Arthur William Stevens and Nelson Stevens.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mattingly Stevens; a son, Keith Stevens (Donya) of Willisburg; two step-daughters, Sheila Spalding (Glenn) and Amy Anglin-Coulter (Mary) of Bardstown; two step-sons, Chris Mattingly (Sandy) of Mackville and Timmy Mattingly (Jennifer) of Loretto; two grandsons, Garrett Stevens (Morgan) and Jack Stevens of Willisburg; nine step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Stevens (Mary Rose) of Elizabeth, IN and six sisters, Judy Schoen (Rodney) and Eleanor Keinsley of Lanesville, IN, Alice Mae Hoke of Elizabeth, IN, Sue McRae (Jim) of Laconia, IN, Virginia Absher (Alvin) of New Albany, IN and Linda Faith (Ronnie) of Columbus, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Goss, officiating.
Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
A masonic service will be held at 7:00 Friday evening at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday and after 8:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
