William Frederick “Bill” Foster, age 64, of Bardstown Road, Springfield, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at his home.
He was born on November 5, 1954 in San Bruno, California to the late Jack and June Felix Foster.
He was a Marine veteran and was a self-employed tile installer.
Survivors include his companion, Lorrie Wheatley of Springfield; a son, Curtis Foster (Heather) of Riverview, Florida; a daughter, Stacie Chevrier (Fabien) of Nashville, Tennessee; a grandchild, Shea Foster; a step-daughter, Sara Hughes of Springfield; two step grandchildren, Peyton Hughes and Ethan Kelly; four sisters, Jackie Andrus of Austin, TX, Barbara Beard and Janet Fraser both of Nashville, TN and Sylvia Kerl of Beaumont, TX and a brother, Jack Foster of New York.
Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Yankey, pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was on Friday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the Lebanon National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Serving as pallbearers were Joe Neel, Peyton Hughes, Ethan Kelly, Charlie Mattingly, Jackson Beard, Josh Sharp, James Kerl, and Danny Humes.
Visitation was after 5:00 Thursday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
