William Reid "Bill" Hall

William Reid “Bill” Hall, age 80, of Shepherdsville, passed away at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at his home.

A native of Washington County, he was born on September 21, 1938 to the late William Reid and Murna Sea Hall.

He was a member of the Fern Creek Baptist Church and attended the First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Mackville High School and was a forty-one year employee of the General Electric Company where he served as Overseas Parts Specialist. He spent the last fifteen years of his career traveling overseas for the company. Bill enjoyed playing Bluegrass music with his friends, fishing and supporting University of Kentucky Athletics.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Sara Edith Tucker in 1995, a brother-in-law, Hubert “Bert” Tucker in 1995.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Glenna Reynolds Hall; a daughter, Jenny Hall of Shepherdsville; two sons, John Reid Hall (Shannon) of Louisville and Robert “Rob” Hall of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Michael Bieckert (Beth), Lindsey (Brandon) Bowles and Sabrina Hammond; five great grandchildren, Aiden, William and Whitney Bieckert, Colin and Jaden Bowles; a sister, Wilna Hall Madden of Frankfort; a dear friend, Elaine Singleton and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 1:00m p.m., Saturday, July 27th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Willis Tyler, officiating.

Burial was in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Donnie Carrico, Al Stevens and Prentice Brady.

Casket bearers were Michael Bieckert, Aiden Bieckert, Marcus Tucker, Douglas Tucker, Paul Osbourne and David Osbourne.

Visitation was from 4 until 8 Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, 216 East Main Street, Springfield, KY
