Geneva Faye Thompson Watts, age 85, of Cold Spring, KY passed away at 2:50 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Highland Springs Nursing Home in Ft. Thomas.
A native of Washington County, she was born on November 5, 1933 to the late Amos and Auda Coulter Thompson.
She was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, Truman Matherly on September 28, 1974; her second husband, Corbett Watts on February 22, 2002; a step-son, Jim Watts in 1995; three sisters, Evelyn Cheser on September 18, 2008, Louise Hood on April 16, 2015 and Betty Cheatham on February 12, 2018 and two brothers, Wilmo Thompson on March 16, 1985 and Elmo Thompson on February 21, 2011.
Survivors include; a son, Douglas Matherly (Bonita); a daughter, Patricia Krebs (David) of Covington; three step-sons, Tony Watts (Peggy) of Independence; Tim Watts (Rosie) and Gary Watts (Karen) of Campbell County; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Juanita Thompson and Marie Lewis (Charles) of Springfield and Blondella Lewis of Bloomfield and two brothers, Billy Thompson (Myrna) of Springfield and Glen Thompson of Willisburg,
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, pastor of the Willisburg Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Krebs, Kathy Krebs, Mike Lewis, Tyler Watson, Nathan Watson, Marty Matherly, Keith Matherly, Tracy Watson, Chris Bowling and Todd Engle.
Visitation was after 12 Noon Monday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
