Edna (Royalty) Lanham

Edna Royalty Lanham, age 89, of Springfield, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the home of her daughter.

A native of Washington County, she was born on April 6, 1930 to the late Ruel and Mabel Simpson Royalty.

She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, a homemaker and a former employee of the Medco Center and the Springfield Redrying Company.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Leslie Ray Lanham on October 28, 1990 and two sisters, Mary Jo Teater on May 7, 2014 and Laura Milburn on October 10, 2017.

Survivors include a son, Ray A. Lanham (Louise); a daughter, Lisa Coulter (Craig) of Springfield; four grandchildren, Michelle Barlow (Scott), Troy Lanham (Megan), Matthew Coulter (Cynthia) and Aaron Coulter and five great grandchildren, Johnethan McGavick, Noah Sagrecy, Ayden Coulter, Skylar Coulter and Rylee Lanham.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22nd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel, former pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Jeremy Thompson, pastor of Redemption Church Of God.

Burial was in the Beech Grove Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Scott Barlow, Michelle Barlow, Johnethan McGavick, Cynthia Coulter and Megan Lanham.

Casket bearers were Troy Lanham, Matthew Coulter, Aaron Coulter, Bruce Milburn, Neal Devine and David Teater.

Visitation was from 4 until 8 Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
